How can we help?
Common questions about Edgeworth — getting started, journaling, the tools, billing, and your data. Still stuck? Drop us a lineand we'll come back to you within a working day.
Getting started
How do I create my first strategy?
After signing in, hit + New strategy in your Workspace. The wizard walks you through naming it, picking whether it's backtest or live, choosing your direction / confirmation / entry filters, and setting BE rules. The whole flow takes 2–3 minutes; the strategy lands with the right column layout and the first empty trade row ready to fill.
What's included in the 7-day free trial?
Full access to whichever plan you pick (Trader or Pro). No feature is hidden. After 7 days the selected plan kicks in automatically — cancel before then and you won't be charged.
When does my card get charged?
We take your card at sign-up so the subscription can roll over automatically once the 7-day trial ends. Nothing is charged during the trial. You'll be billed on day 8 only if you haven't cancelled before then; cancel anytime from Account → Subscription and you won't be charged at all.
Can I import existing trades from a CSV or my broker?
For now, Edgeworth is manual-first — you enter trades by hand. CSV import is on the short-term roadmap, but broker auto-sync isn't coming. The discipline of typing each trade is part of the value: you actually re-read what you traded, and the analytics never read anything you didn't verify.
Strategies & journaling
What's the difference between live and backtest strategies?
Live strategies hold real trades you're taking now. Backtest strategies hold historical trades you're testing against past data. The structure is identical, so you can compare a live strategy directly against the backtest it came from via the Backtest vs Live tool.
What are BE rules?
BE = breakeven. A BE rule defines how/when you move your stop to your entry price. Edgeworth supports three types: No BE (the baseline — no SL move), RR fixed BE (move to entry once trade reaches a specific R-multiple, e.g. 1R or 2R), and Strategy BE (named rules like "after BoS confirms"). You can stack up to 4 BE columns per strategy and compare them side by side.
What does Final R vs Max R mean?
Max R is the highest R-multiple the trade reached intra-trade — what was on the table at the best point. Final R is what you actually walked away with after applying your exit rule. The pair lets the analytics re-score the same trade under different exits without re-entering data. See the Glossary for more.
How do I add a custom column?
In the journal, click the + at the end of any column section header (Direction, Confirmation, Entry, Custom, …). Pick the column type (boolean, text, number, select) and name it. The column is per-strategy and persists across all trades in that strategy.
Can I delete or rename a strategy?
Yes. Double-click the strategy tab to rename. To delete, open the strategy menu (⋮) and pick Delete strategy — you'll get a confirmation step.
The tools
What does Deep Diver actually do?
Deep Diver lets you slice your trade history by any combination of variables — setup, time of day, day of week, FVG, EMA bias, news, and any custom column you defined. The donut, win rate, R curve and metrics recompute live as you toggle filters, so you can see the conditions under which your edge actually compounds instead of guessing.
How do partial exits work in Partial Creator?
You define a partial ladder — a sequence of R-levels (e.g. 1R / 2R / 3R) and what % of the position to close at each. The tool runs the ladder across every journaled trade and shows Net R, donut, equity curve and per-level hit rate in real time. Use it to design risk-managed exits before committing real capital.
What's the Curve Simulator for?
Re-draws your equity curve under different risk presets (1% of equity, fixed R per trade, half-Kelly) using your real trade history. Helps you stress-test your worst drawdown before you scale — or pick a sizing rule that fits a prop firm's daily-loss / drawdown rules.
How do I compare a live strategy to its backtest?
When you create a live strategy via the wizard, you can link it to a backtest strategy. Once linked, the Backtest vs Live tool shows both side by side with R curves, win rates and drawdowns — so you can spot where the edge holds and where it leaks before scaling.
What's the AI Insight option?
In Deep Diver and Partial Creator, AI Insight surfaces patterns hidden in your own trade data — the combination of filters or partial ladder that produces the best EV. It's analytics on the trades you already wrote, never signals on what to trade next.
Account & billing
How do I upgrade from Trader to Pro?
Account → Subscription → Change plan. The new plan starts immediately and we prorate the unused portion of your current cycle.
Can I switch between monthly and annual billing?
Yes, anytime in Account → Subscription. The change takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle so you don't lose time you've already paid for.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Account → Subscription → Cancel subscription. You keep access until the end of the current cycle; your card is never charged again. See our Billing & Refund policy for full detail.
Do you offer refunds?
Paid subscriptions are non-refundable except where required by law. We do look at clear billing-error cases on a case-by-case basis — email our team.
Data & privacy
Do you connect to my broker?
No. Edgeworth is intentionally manual-first — you enter trades by hand. There's no broker auto-sync and there are no plans for one. Every row you see is a row you wrote, so the analytics never read anything you didn't verify.
Is my journal private?
Yes. Your trades, notes and screenshots stay tied to your account. We never share, sell or train on user data — see the Privacy Policy.
Can I export my data?
Per-strategy CSV export is on the short-term roadmap. For now you can copy / paste rows from the journal grid into a spreadsheet.
How do I delete my account?
Account → Settings → Delete account. Data is removed immediately and any backups purge within 30 days. The action is irreversible.
